About PeopleBench

PeopleBench is a fast-growing, purpose-driven EdTech company who is re-imagining K12 workforce attraction, retention and resilience.

When global teacher shortages, reputational and social and emotional wellbeing challenges continue to threaten the current model of education service delivery, K-12 schools and districts are looking for new, evidence informed, ways to Build Better School Workforces. PeopleBench is committed to democratizing access to evidence informed workforce strategy in the K-12 education sector and has developed this new role, dedicated to catapulting our growth and impact in the US.

We were established in Australia in 2019 and are now bringing our solution to the urgent pain of staff wellbeing and the foundational challenge of the absence of evidence informed workforce strategy, to the US. Now working with 20 anchor tenant Districts across 8 States, we are on an incredible growth trajectory and looking for our first US Sales Director.

This career opportunity is a key part of our future success and will help support thousands – potentially millions – of educators and ultimately students, globally.

Role Purpose

PeopleBench seeks a seasoned Director of Sales who will target, pitch and close new K12 clients while building a scalable sales function and team that will help catapult our growth in the United States and beyond. Working with Executive Leadership, you will build on PeopleBench’s initial success in acquiring and serving anchor tenant K12 clients in Australia – helping them grow their anchor tenant relationships in the US.

You must have a proven track record in direct sales to K12 school districts and regional consortia including BOCES, COEs and ESCs. You will be responsible for leveraging existing K12 relationships, building a robust pipeline, demonstrating our research-informed workforce wellness & strategy solution, closing new business and nurturing clients to support upsells and renewals. You must be self-directed, entrepreneurially-minded and a leader at heart.

As Director of Sales, you will be required to:

  • Canvas, pitch and close new K12 education clients in strategic markets.
  • Build, manage and grow a sales pipeline and hit quarterly sales goals.
  • Create and evolve a long-term sales strategy including budgets and forecasts.
  • Work with the Customer Experience team and our US market Ambassadors to ensure fluid onboarding, coordinated implementation and clear evidence of effectiveness in order to drive upsells and renewals.
  • Collaborate with product development on new features and functionality to be added in response to client feedback.

Remuneration

$80 – 100k + commission plan

  • Strong relationships with K12 School District decision makers, primarily on the west coast.
  • Proven track record in building and managing a pipeline of new business.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills are a must.
